Summer Classes Still Available!!!





Before that new digital camera becomes an expensive paperweight, learn how to make beautiful images with it. We’ll use easy technical explanations, shooting exercises, and a review of student images to teach you how to find, compose, and capture compelling photographs. Bring a digital camera (SLR preferred) and a flash drive.

First-Time Digital Animation (4 Weeks)

This course will introduce you to the world of digital animation by using Flash to create an animated short of your own. You'll get an overview of basic techniques as well as hands-on experience with the software. No prior knowledge of Flash is necessary, but basic computer skills are required.

Beginning Lightroom (4 Weeks)

Lightroom is a powerful software tool for image management, enhancement, printing, and more. In this overview class, see why photographic professionals everywhere are hooken on Lightroom and learn the basics of organizing, developing and printing your images. This is a terrific follow-up to First-Time Digital Photography.

Digital Cyanotype (4 Weeks)

Cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic processes and produces a brilliant Prussian blue image on watercolor paper. You’ll mix your own sensitizer, apply it to paper, and expose it in the sun. We’ll use the digital lab to make our negatives from digital images you bring in. At the end of class you’ll learn how to make reproductions of your images with the computer.

Multi-Exposure Photography (4 Weeks)

From HDR to panoramas to time-lapse composites, this crash course in multi-exposure image capture, organization and editing is a great resource for any photographer who wants more control over their environment. Whether you goal is to create hyper-realistic images, or surreal, other-worldly scenes, this assignment-based course will give you the hands-on techniques to enhance your work.
